I submit that a single instance of misconduct should not result in the termination of a public servant's career. The interests of the public servant should be considered, with possible regard to the public good.

It is with great confidence that I make this submission, in the hope that it will be considered favourably, and that the public servant will be allowed to continue in service without undue penalty.
